An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Head Cook at Hollywell Primary School. We are looking for a motivated individual to lead our small catering team serving approximately 120 meals each day.
As the Head Cook you will be preparing a variety of appetising meals every day, using local produce and fresh ingredients.
The successful candidate must be able to prepare and cook healthy and nutritious food to a high standard and will be responsible for maintaining very high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. You will adhere to cleaning schedules, be hardworking and have a professional attitude towards food, hygiene and the needs of the children and additionally, be responsible for stock control and ordering.
Experience in this sort of work and working with children would be an advantage.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work alongside other catering leads within the trust to develop our in-house catering provision.

Experience of working with and knowledge of food safety and experience of catering is required. You must have a basic food hygiene certificate as a minimum and an NVQ 2 in catering and hospitality or equivalent. A full induction and training will be provided, so the successful candidate must be willing to undertake further training and development as required to meet the needs of the school.
